about

Utilizing a simple two chord progression and a repetitive, marching rhythm, “The Revolution Of The Inner, Man” delves into the all but forgotten “inner realm” that is a staple across the entirety of human experience. Exploring the esoteric and profound as well as the mundane, the track is a call to arms for many of us searching for something beyond the superficial while simultaneously managing our day to day lives in a larger than life, overstimulating modern world.

While the track, at its core, is a hard hitting rock track, the rhythm and guitar sequence borrow heavily from reggae, reminiscent of the Bob Marley classic, “War”; while the chorus melody (how can we understand?!) might be something you would hear in a Bossa Nova track. There’s a lot to unpack here, but at its heart, the track is simple and to the point. The song invites the listener to sit down for a light, fun listen without too much thought, or to take it a step further and look underneath the hood for some deeper and ever evolving themes relatable to the classic human experience.

lyrics

Oh these days are colored in pain Suffering is heard from street to street Oh how my soul is begging for change Love’s on fire again
Pull the trigger and run
You can change the world
But you have to understand
The revolution of the inner, man
We can make it with love
Oh I’m sure
How can we understand the revolution of the inner man?
Can I please clothes my eyes Pretend that I don’t see?
Those that lost lives to atrocities You’re innocent, you swear They’re feeding us confusion We breathe it in like air
Pull the trigger and run
You can change the world
But you have to understand
The revolution of the inner, man
